Sonic-Lost-World

Boy, have we got a treat for you, fellow Sonic fans! Thanks to our good friends at SEGA, the Summer of Sonic will be one of the first places you can play the upcoming Nintendo exclusive game Sonic Lost World ahead of release on both Wii U and Nintendo 3DS!

Sonic Lost World is the blue blur’s next major adventure, tasking our spiny hero with putting the Lost Hex planet back together in a battle against some new foes, known as the Deadly Six.

It’s a re-imagining of how you play Sonic games, with players able to adjust their speed and spindash at will using the Wii U GamePad’s triggers. Whilst running at full pelt, you can perform parkour moves so you never have to stop moving. Wisps also return to offer new depths of play, and both platforms contain unique features that take advantage of each console’s capabilities such as the gamePad for the Wii U. Sonic Lost World for the 3DS is also the first Sonic handheld game ever to feature fully realised 3D levels.

Along with innovative new worlds that offer a variety of routes and challenges, the game’s presentation perfectly retains the vibe and atmosphere that best represents Sonic – colourful, edgy and fantastical.

We’re really excited to be one of the first locations where fans can try it out for themselves. Be sure to give it a go on August 3rd!

  1. Awwww yeah! Can’t wait to try it out, been looking forward to this game ever since it was announced, pre-ordered it for the Wii U and 3DS :D

    WOOT :D

  3. Bisylizzie says:

Well, it’s not too surprising to think that there’ll be playable demos for the newest game there… xD

Looking forward to being able to try it out!

I’m just hoping that like Sonic Generations, we get a demo of the first level or so on the eShop. Seeing as I’m not going to Summer of Sonic this year, that makes me hope even farther.

Not like I’m gonna be going anyway when the stupid tickets run out in 6 seconds..

    • Question for you (and anyone else who is griping about not going):

Would the tickets be stupid, or the system be stupid, or anything else along those lines be “stupid” if you’d actually gotten a ticket, or is this having a tantrum because you lost out and actually, none of those things are stupid at all?

Honestly, I saw this coming from a mile away… but that’s what I was hoping for! XD
From what I’ve seen so far, both versions look fun (although I’m slightly preferring the look of the 3DS version) and it’ll be great to finally get a chance to play it early. :)
(Also, it’ll be my first time playing on a Wii-U, so I looking forward to that too.)

    • NegaMetallix says:

EDIT: Just out of curiosity, would I be right in guessing that both demos are most likely the same ones from E3?

  6. I’m so happy to be able to play it before anyone else I know, but there would be a HUGE line to play SLW. But thanks! <3

Oooh, I cannot wait to get my hands on the controls and play that game when I’m there! Woohoo!

  9. I’m expecting it to be just the E3 demo though.

  11. Too bad that this game (and the next three) will only be on Wii-U, a console that is already considered outdated.

    • Too bad nobody cares about that opinion. I think Sonic will find a great home on the Wii U.

    • Agreed – this demo will probably be my first and last chance to try this game if they’re going to let Nintendo keep it to themselves on this new Wii-U thing.
I’ve barely had a Wii two years and already it’s obsoleted! What’s the point in my blowing my savings on an expensive new console that I can’t afford when it’s likely to go the same way within a year or so?
I’d be happier knowing that Lost World would eventually port to PC Steam, like Sonic 4 and Generations did…

      • Uh, the Wii came out in 2006. Not Nintendo’s fault if you decided to adopt late. Wii U is still going to be around for a good long while.

That’d be like me buying a 360 in two months time then complaining that it’s outdated compared to the XBox One.

  12. To be honest, I saw this this coming, so glad I bought a Wii U :)

  13. Joe Gardiner says:

Yay, a chance to try out Sonic Lost World! Maybe I might get a Wii U one day so that I can play it when it comes out! :D The queue to try Lost World is most likely going to be humongous- I can count on it!

  14. I tried it at Japan Expo in Paris, this game is wonderful :D

  15. Oscar Rock says:

Man I can’t wait to play and buy this on the wii u. :)
